THE “RACINES” RANGE
“In our tireless quest for sincerity, we create clean, concentrated wines with the greatest respect for the Sancerre appellation”
VINEYARDS’ LOCATION: Crézancy-en-Sancerre, Bué and Sancerre.
SOILS: rocky limestone “Caillottes”, clay-limestone “Terres Blanches” and marls: the 3 emblematic soil types for our white Sancerre wines.
GRAPE VARIETY: Sauvignon blanc.
VINIFICATION: The wines are individually vinified by terroir and blended before bottling. Fermentation temperatures are controlled to obtain a fruit-driven wine. Ageing on fine lees takes place in stainless steel vats so that tension and texture can find their balance.
TASTING NOTES*:
Appearance: Pale to medium lemon-yellow.
Nose: The nose is open and intense. There are pleasant aromas of citrus (grapefruit) and exotic fruit (mango).
Palate: The attack is fresh and lively with dazzling fruit flavours. This crisp and dynamic blend combines delicious floral and fruit notes (candied lemon). It displays a tension that combines directness with appreciable finesse.
FOOD PARING SUGGESTIONS: Perfect as an aperitif or delicious with white fish, seafood and of course goat’s cheese.
RECOMMENDED SERVING TEMPERATURE: 10°C to 12°C.
